Book shopping happens OUTSIDE of reading workshop

•Number of books per baggie @ INDEPENDENT reading level to shop for
  • –Levels A-F: 10 books/baggie/week
  • –Levels G-I: 6-8 books/baggie/week
  • –Levels J-L: 4-6 books/baggie/week
When independently shopping--
–80% of the books must be at the student's INDEP reading level
–20% of the books are other, "heart's desire"/interest books=
